Rebelvolt Oy focuses its resources on developing the e-Generator business – A new home for Rebelvolt’s Property Batteries through a joint venture!

SHB Energy Oy is a joint venture formed by three different sector companies, bringing unique hybrid energy storage systems to the market. The founders of SHB Energy are Rebelvolt Oy, Sunon Oy, and Jawert Yhtiöt Oy.
One of the common challenges with building-installed battery systems is the waste heat they generate and the need for cooling. No technology is perfect – whenever energy changes form, heat is produced. SHB Energy has developed a solution that utilizes this waste heat from batteries and inverters for heating the property. With our Hybrid Energy Storage System, your property both uses and produces energy with maximum efficiency.
The SHB hybrid energy storage system consists of the following components:
Sun – A solar power plant with intelligent load control, directing the generated energy for the building’s own use while storing any excess energy.
Heat – Heat energy recovery and storage.
Bess – Liquid-cooled battery technology enabling efficient capture and use of waste heat. The battery system can operate in the power reserve market or optimize the building’s electricity consumption – in other words, wherever it delivers the best return for the customer!
As part of its pilot phase, the company is building a completely new, CO₂-free SHB system in a property located in Vantaa, Finland, integrating solar power (Sun), heat storage (Heat), and energy storage (Bess). Construction has already begun, and we will share updates on the progress through our social media channels. The company will commercialize the SHB system and aims for strong growth by selling these systems both in Finland and internationally.
Rebelvolt Oy, in turn, will focus on expanding its e-Generator business in international markets. Rebelvolt’s existing Property Battery customers will not be transferred to the joint venture.
